Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 8, 2026. Vocal Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Vocal Enhancer and related services. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Overview
Vocal Enhancer is a web-based audio enhancement service for podcasters and voice creators. We are committed to transparency about the data we collect and how we use it. We do not use your audio content to train machine learning models without your explicit consent. We align our practices with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR (where applicable) and the CCPA (California residents).
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, that we obtain when you use our services, and that we receive from third parties where relevant.
- Account information: When you register, we collect email address, password (stored in hashed form), and, if you choose, profile details. If you use optional sign-in with Google or Apple, we receive the identifier and basic profile information they provide.
- Audio content: When you upload audio for enhancement, we receive and temporarily store the file and associated metadata (e.g., duration, format). This content is used only to provide the enhancement service and is not used for training our models unless you have given explicit consent.
- Usage and product data: We collect how you use the product—e.g., uploads, enhancement jobs, plan type, minutes used, and feature usage—to operate the service, enforce limits, and improve the product.
- Device and technical data: We may collect browser type, IP address, and similar technical data to support security, fraud prevention, and compatibility.
- Payment and billing: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers; we store billing-related identifiers and subscription/plan information that Stripe provides to us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Vocal Enhancer and related services
- Process your audio and deliver enhanced output
- Manage your account, plan limits, and billing (including minute packs)
- Send service-related communications (e.g., confirmations, usage alerts, security notices)
- Analyze usage and product performance (e.g., via analytics) to improve the product and user experience
- Prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and protect our systems and users
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
We do not use your uploaded audio for training or improving our AI/ML models unless you have given us clear, separate consent to do so.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Account and usage data are retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward for legal and operational needs. Input and output audio files are retained only as long as needed to complete processing and allow download—typically deleted within 24–72 hours or shortly after you download the result, in line with our system design.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and, where applicable, encryption at rest. We restrict access to personal and audio data to those who need it to operate and support the service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login details secure.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information and, where applicable, your account and associated data.
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
- Opt-out of sale/sharing (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. California residents may have additional rights to opt out of certain “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; we do not engage in such sharing of your audio or account data for that purpose.
- Withdraw consent: Where we rely on your consent (e.g., for using audio for training), you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact us at support@vocalenhancer.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. International Transfers
We may store and process data in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. If you are accessing our service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions. We take steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards where required by law (e.g., standard contractual clauses under GDPR).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g., by email or a notice in the product). Continued use of Vocal Enhancer after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
